Another Google Maps Business Tour successfully completed and published for Ripton Windows, Basingstoke (Hampshire UK).
Ripton Windows was established in Basingstoke in 1996 by Ray Ripton and Mike Leal. It’s a real family run business with both Matthew Ripton and Stuart Ripton working for the company.
Ripton Windows has established itself in North Hampshire as a name that customers trust. They’ve successfully installed many thousands of doors, windows, conservatories and roof-line projects with a large percentage coming from personal referrals and recommendations.
After one of our senior photographers received excellent service from Ripton while getting his family home double glazed we were most honoured to receive a request to complete a Google Business Maps Tour for them.
Ripton Windows has a wonderful large showroom in Basingstoke allowing their customers to get a realistic feel of their windows, doors and conservatories. With a Google Maps Business View, their customers can tour the showroom 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, from the comfort of their homes. A virtual tour, where users can freely navigate where they wish and when convenient for them, just shows how Ripton Windows like to put their customers first.
During the shoot our creative photographer decided to make the most of the winter light by turning off the main showroom lights and creating a delightful evening effect using only the light coming though the conservatory windows.
Other Points of Interest shots taken during the shoot.
(Southern Counties Photographic Federation – Roll of Honour)
One of our photographers, Stephen Pritchard, felt very privileged to be asked by his local camera club to be the event photographer for a very special evening.
Long term member, Mike Farrow, was presenting an evening of fine photography with a special part covering 3D imagery taken with film. Everyone was requested to put on cardboard spectacles, which give the audience a slightly humorous sci-fi look.
The biggest surprise of the evening however was when John Hodge, President of the Southern Counties Photographic Federation arrived to give Mike and his wife, Cath, with the SCPF Roll of Honour
– a very special award for those who have given many years of support for club photography.
Mike and Cath have been hugely important in making our club what it is, through their work
in various committee posts, always being willing to help and encourage, and not least for inviting
generations of new club members into their home to instruct them in the craft of photography.
After a short review of some of their many contributions, John Hodge presented them each with their Roll of Honour with everyone in the club applauding in what we all agreed was well deserved recognition.
“Well done Mike and Cath, and thanks for all the photography advice you’ve give me over the years”

Supporting local communities is important to us at Inside Your Business. So we were happy when the Old Basing and Lychpit Parish Council took us up on our offer of completing a Google Maps Business View Tour for some of their facilities.
Old Basing is a old English Village with a long history after being settled by Saxons in around AD700 by a tribe called the Basingas, Basingstoke became an outlying western settlement of the Basinga’s people. The village and surrounding area has a number of historic buildings and the Old Basing and Lychpit Parish Council maintains one of them as the Lychpit Community Hall (Google Maps Business Tour being completed soon). The Parish Council also runs The Pavilion meeting room on the Old Basing Recreation Ground. This meeting room is used by the Parish Council for various public committee meetings and they wished to make better use of this well-kept facility by hiring it out to the general public.
Getting a Google Maps Business View was seen by the Parish Council as ideal for showing possible hirers the meeting room without the need for a member of staff to show them around. They liked the idea of being able to guide any phone call inquiries to their website to view a virtual tour to give them an idea of its layout and interior without the need to travel, so saving time and money for both parties. Viewers would also get to see the kitchen and other facilities provided.
The Topiary “The art of cutting and trimming into beautiful shapes”
The Topiary has been successfully styling hair since 2004 and recently enjoyed its 10th anniversary. It has a wonderful atmosphere and a dedicated team of skilled stylists. As the sign on the wall says, they love what they do, and do it well. At the Topiary, it is not just about having your hair styled, it is about the experience. They also have a secluded relaxing beauty room where you can have your own private beauty session. See the tour and have a look inside, I can still smell the scented candle.
Business View completed for Cafe Papillon in Oxted, England. The Cafe Papillon is a wonderful family run bistro cafe serving some of the best food in Oxted. From the bar, the head chef’s attention to detail is a pleasure to watch in the open kitchen. His food is a taste sensation and will make you want to come back for more. All the staff at Cafe Papillon are warm and friendly.
Friday nights are when Cafe Papillon comes into its own with live music being played by various artists. (check the Cafe Papillon website for more information). The venue is also available for hire for birthday parties and other special occasions.
To improve how we communicate our message across to our customers, we have invested in a new website. This month we are going to start promoting Google Business View and are looking for businesses who we can work with to showcase both their business services, as well as our own. It is a great opportunity for all businesses to take advantage of discounts for our services and to build a new exciting B2B relationship. As we work to promote our business, yours too will be promoted through our marketing strategy. Take advantage and contact us today to find out how!
